Refugee Integration & Protection
We support community-level efforts that strengthen the safety, dignity, and social inclusion of refugees and host communities in Bungoma County. Ongoing activities focus on awareness of rights and protection pathways, referral linkages for vulnerable households, and dialogue forums that promote peaceful coexistence. We engage community leaders and local stakeholders in protection-sensitive outreach designed to reduce stigma and improve access to basic services for vulnerable groups.

Climate & Environmental Resilience
Priority Five Initiative is strengthening climate and environmental resilience in Bungoma County through community-led action, awareness, and practical adaptation measures. Over the last two years, we have planted 10,000 trees, helping restore degraded areas, improve tree cover, and support local environmental regeneration. We have also launched a mentorship program for 300 youth climate ambassadors, equipping them to lead climate awareness, mobilize their peers, and champion sustainable practices in their communities. In addition, 1,000 farmers have been trained on agroforestry and climate-smart agriculture to improve soil health, diversify farm outputs, and build resilience to droughts and other climate shocks.
AI & Digital Literacy
We are helping communities in Bungoma County embrace technology as a tool for education, innovation, and problem-solving. Ongoing efforts include digital literacy sessions, introduction to safe and responsible technology use, and integration of artificial intelligence into classroom practice. Our county digital learning rollout has reached 36 ECDE centers, benefiting about 3,233 learners and training 108 teachers on smart teaching devices and lesson delivery — building awareness among learners and educators on the benefits and limitations of emerging digital tools, with an emphasis on accessibility and inclusion.

Youth Empowerment & Livelihoods
We are advancing youth empowerment and livelihoods in Bungoma County through agribusiness-led job creation and enterprise development. Between 2022 and 2024, we implemented a program funded by the Kenya Youth Employment Opportunities Project (KYEOP) to enhance employment in the agribusiness sector. Through a hybrid model combining dairy, poultry, greenhouse, and mushroom farming, the program created 300 direct jobs and 1,000 indirect jobs for young people and community members, while supporting practical business skills, market access, and local value-chain participation. This was one of our best-funded projects, with a total budget of USD 50,000 (approximately Ksh. 6,500,000), demonstrating how youth-focused agribusiness can generate decent work and wider community economic benefits.
Quality Education & Lifelong Learning
We are advancing quality education and lifelong learning by supporting learners, teachers, and community institutions to improve learning outcomes in Bungoma County. Ongoing activities include mentorship support, foundational literacy and numeracy reinforcement, school retention efforts, and community sensitization on the value of education for all ages. We also promote adult and non-formal learning opportunities so young people and adults can continue building practical skills beyond the classroom — linking education to real-life opportunities so learners progress with confidence and purpose.
